Realities of a Single Parent | Our First Holiday to Turkey

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that I booked an incredibly last-minute holiday. Usually I’m very much a forward planner but that didn’t happen this time, I really needed a break I haven’t been on holiday for two years and after everything I’ve been through I just needed to get away. I booked the holiday on Sunday 24thJune and we flew out on Wednesday 27thJune so as you can imagine I was running around like a crazy person to get things bought, packed and sorted.  (more…)

Realities of a Single Parent | Over-Compensating


This post has been a long time coming, I’ve written, re-written and deleted numerous posts on this subject purely because I was afraid to publicise the fact that I am a single parent. But why should I be embarrassed? There are thousands of parents that single handedly raise their child/children and as much as it is still a taboo in some cultures I’ve decided that it isn’t something I’m embarrassed or ashamed about, in fact it is something I should embrace on a daily basis. Universe of Imagination 5 Way Activity Cube | Review

I absolutely love wooden toys and tend to purchase them more than I do plastic ones, they’re aesthetically and visually a lot more pleasing. I know they can look a bit worn in time but I think that’s the beauty of toys made from natural materials. Leila is incredibly spoilt and tends to get a fair few gifts throughout the year. My amazing bestie (who spoils her far too often) bought her the Universe of Imagination 5 Way Activity Cube (£24.99) and she absolutely loves it so I thought why not give it a little review.  (more…)
