Ankle/Chelsea Boots have been a big hit again this season and they seem to be sold everywhere. I picked up a pair last year from Zara but unfortunately I was way too adventurous with the heel size and didn’t end up wearing them, fear not they were re-homed via eBay.
So this season I was on the hunt again for some more sensible boots and came across these beauties in H&M for £24.99. They’re imitation suede with silver zips on the sides and have rubber soles for ultimate comfort. The heel is a mere 8cm and blocked which means I can actually walk in them rather than hobbling and having crippled feet.
I always find the sizing in H&M slightly off and not really generic, I tried a size 4 (my usual size) and they were really big and were slipping off when I walked. I then tried a size 3.5 which fit perfect so that’s the size I bought. If you’re ordering these online I would suggest opting for two sizes just in case you have the same problem as me.
I love ankle boots especially during the colder months where I get the most wear out of them. These are amazingly comfortable and go with everything in my wardrobe. They are perfect to wear with skinny jeans or a cute dress.
I know I’ll be living in these boots for the next few months for me comfort and versatility are key, I’ve also learnt that no matter how much I love a pair of boots with a ridiculously high heel I need to step away from them.
What’s your key fashion piece this season?
N.B. I should mention that I really couldn’t wait to wear these boots once I bought them hence why they look a little worn in the photos (#sorry).
