Guest Post Leigh's Top 5 Base ProductsHiya! My name is Leigh from MomentsLikeThis it is such a pleasure to be featuring on such an amazing blog today. I have admired reading Zee’s blog for quite some while now as well as adorning over her amazing instagram feed! I am such a beauty fanatic it is unreal. For our collaboration I thought I would write a post on my top 5 base products which I have recently been loving to use in my day to day makeup look.First of, my favourite primer at the moment is the Benefit Porefessional which has a texture of a balm and is very silicone based. It claims to minimise the look of your pores aswell as having a matte finish. I also find that it leaves a smooth base which comes in handy when applying foundation on top of.

I recently discovered the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation after hearing Gabby from Velvetgh0st rave about it numerous amount of times. A MAC store has recently just opened at my local shopping centre so I took the plunge in purchasing it (in case you are wondering I use NW10). It leaves a matte finish which is perfect for girls like myself with normal/oily skin however for those with dry skin, not so perfect. It has a high coverage which can also be built up, and I find that it can last on my skin for a huge chunk of the day. It is a bit of a pain as it doesn’t come with pump however you can purchase these separately if you want too.

For under my eyes I have recently fallen back in love with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1 to use under my eyes. It brightens up the eyes and conceals any redness or blue bags you have underneath the eyes. It can also be used to highlight along the bridge of the nose, cupids bow and just below the brow. It comes at a bargain of a price at £4.29 from your local Boots or Superdrug store aswell as having a longevity of about 6 hours.

To set this all in place I love to use the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in transparent. Again this is really cheap and chirpy as well as being one of the best long lasting powders out there on the market. It really helps to set my makeup in place all day long and to help keep any shine at bay. The most I have had to top up during the day with this powder is once, which is excellent for myself as I am usually on the go all day long for the majority of time.

Last of all, if any blemishes, redness or scarring are still showing I will apply some of the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer on top to hide it. I love the formula of this concealer as it isn’t drying in the slightest but again I find it can last me all day. I love that it comes with a pump instead of a doufer applicator as I believe that they are really unhygienic although sometimes too much of the product ends up being pumped out.

That is all for my favourite base products which I am currently loving. I hope you have enjoyed this post aswell as getting to know my current favourite face products. If you have any other recommendations then please let me know over on instagram as I would love to know (@momentslikethis7).

I haven’t used Porefessional in a while but having read through Leigh’s post it made me realise how much I did like using it. I may have to make a sneaky purchase x x
