Now that I’ve got a lot more time on my hands I’ve been able to spend some quality time with the Mr so yesterday called for a lunch date.
We’ve never been to Prezzo before but collected enough Tesco Clubcard points which can be converted to restaurant vouchers. All you need is a £5 clubcard voucher and it’s worth £20 in Prezzo, an absolute bargain, we exchanged £10 and got £40 worth of vouchers which gives us a three course meal each all we have to do is pay for the drinks.
Our nearest Prezzo is in Walton-le-Dale (Lancashire) at the Capitol Centre which we’ve never been to, it’s a shopping complex and has a Home Sense (eeek) I was jumping for joy when I saw it but I could write a whole post of my experience in there!
Let’s get back to Prezzo, the restaurant is so lovely I was in awe when I walked in; it actually reminded me of a restaurant we went to on our Honeymoon. The staff were all so lovely and made sure we were happy with our food and service.I was surprised to see quite a few vegetarian options on the menu which is always nice. I’ll let you know what we ordered and then leave you to enjoy some foody photos I took.
J20 Apple and Raspberry
Bread Board to Share
Tomato and pesto bread, mozzarella and garlic bread, ciabatta and rosemary flatbread with balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil
Served with garlic mayonnaise
Mozzarella in Carrozza
Mozzarella in breadcrumbs lightly fried and served with pomodoro sauce
Honeycomb Smash Cheesecake
Blended and topped with crunchy honeycomb pieces coated in chocolate
Layers of rich mascarpone cream and Savoiardi sponge fingers soaked in coffee espresso
We had every intention of going for a three course meal but having shared three starters we were quite full so skipped straight to desert. I had a lovely lunch date and would definitely go back there and try out a few other things from the menu.
Hope you’ve enjoyed a slightly different post from me.
