Yesterday was beautiful and sunny and we wanted to make the most of it so we decide on taking a drive down to Preston for a picnic in Avenham Park. The park is located in Preston’s Conservation area and leads down to the banks of the River Ribble and there are quite a lot of historical features within the park which I won’t bore you with.
As you’ll see from the photos it’s a gorgeous park and everywhere you cast your eyes on there’s a beautiful scenic view. With the sun beaming and spending quality time with the better half the day couldn’t have gone any better.
We took our picnic blanket and a few snacks and soaked up a hell of a lot of sunshine, considering my vitamin D levels are so low I may have just got a complete fix from the rays. It was lovely to just sit back and relax knowing I am totally free and can enjoy the quality time with my lovely husband.
I don’t think I appreciate just how amazing some of the parks up North are on that note I’ll leave you to enjoy some of the views I captured.
What have you been doing to enjoy the sunshine?
