A couple of months ago I got involved with #TheBloggerSnailMail project which was organised by Gemma from Lipstick and Lashes. I’ve never been involved in a project like this before so it was super exiting. The aim was to be paired with a fellow blogger and to spend four weeks getting to know them after which you send each other a snail mail (hence the name).I was paired with the lovely Helen from Loves and Loathes and it turned out that she only lives 20 minutes away from me. I was really excited when Gemma emailed me with my buddy, I couldn’t wait to start getting to know her so I sent an email and the rest is history.
I loved Helen’s blog instantly her writing style is great and so persuasive that it made me want to buy pretty much everything she mentioned, she also has a great Instagram feed full of great beauty and cosmetic brands.
The process soon came to an end and it was time to put together a little gift based on what we learnt about each other. The budget was £5 so required savvy buying which I’m a huge fan of anyway. I put together a parcel which included some blogging necessities and things I thought Helen would enjoy using.
If you follow me on Instagram then you’ll already know what Helen sent me and I absolutely loved it all. The Humming Bird Bakery book will get lots of use; I’ll be using it to make some yummy sweet treats. I love white chocolate so the Thornton’s Smiles got demolished pretty quickly, she clearly knows how much I love Soap and Glory products so got me the bubble bath and the Vaseline will be great to keep in my bag for those instances when my lips are feeling super dry. Helen also included a little letter explaining each gift which I thought was a really lovely touch.
I thoroughly enjoyed this process, it’s a great way to get to know fellow bloggers and make a new friend. I’ll definitely be signing up to the next round in June and if you’re interested in getting involved then head over to Gemma’s blog for more information. I’d like to thank Gemma for pairing me up with Helen who has been a great blogging buddy, I hope we’ll keep in touch and possibly meet up for a coffee and cupcakes at some point.
