I am an Instagram addict and spend most of my day scrolling through copious amounts of photographs. Whilst scrolling I came across an image of a ‘Brush Egg’ I was pretty intrigued, you guys know just how much I love keeping my brushes squeaky clean. To add a cleansing tool to my routine that would aid the process was a no brainer for me and so a purchase took place.
I’m sure you makeup addicts are fully aware of the high end alternative to this tool, the Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Glove (£30.95) and on many occasions I have popped this into my shopping basket and then struggled to justify the purchase. I purchased the Brush Egg (£0.99) from eBay a bloody bargain if you ask me and yes the crazy person that I am I stocked up!
The brush egg is a textured, high grade finger glove made from silicone; it is designed with raised grooves to help break down product build up which allows you to get your brushes cleaned faster and more thoroughly. So for those of you who find brush cleaning a chore this may be your answer to speed up the process all you have to do is pop it on two fingers and your ready to get cleaning.
I still use the same process and same cleansing products (post here) when washing my brushes the Brush Egg is just an added tool in my routine and means I don’t have to use my palm to swirl my brushes which can often leave my hands feeling a little dry.
I think it’s quite clear from my review just how much I love this tool, it’s incredibly affordable, easy to clean and store and more importantly cleans my brushes thoroughly without leaving any product residue.
What tools do you use to get your brushes squeaky clean?
