If you follow me via my social networks or have read my previous blog post you will know that I was gifted a huge amount of fabulous products at the North West Bloggers event.
Amongst these goodies were the Stylfile Nail File and the Stylefile Emergency File which have been ingeniously invented by Tom Pellereau, a former Apprentice winner from 2007. I had to have a little cheer when I saw these in my goody bag as I’m an avid Apprentice viewer.
I have to be honest and bow my head in shame and admit that I am one of those people who neglect their nails and often find it a chore to maintain them, probably because I’ve spent most of my life biting them (disgusting habit I know) and don’t feel like I can make any improvements through filing.
Regular nails files are flat but with most nails being curved obtaining the perfect nails shape can be difficult. The unique ‘S’ shape of the Stylefile create the perfect desired shape effortlessly even when you use your non dominant hand.
The file come with two different abrasive sides one that shapes the nail and the other to smooth out the roughness. Stylefile claims that due to the high quality abrasive the file will last up to 12 months, which means your nails can be kept looking beautifully maintained all year round.
It does feel strange at first using a nail file of this shape but once you get the hang of the strokes it feels pretty effortless. I’ve been using this nail file on and off for about a week now and it has definitely given me the incentive to stop biting my nails and instead keeping them in remotely good shape.
Overall the ingenuity of this product is just brilliant, a massive round of applause to Tom Pellereau. If you fancy buying one they are retailing from as little as £4.49, I’m sure you won’t regret making the purchase. I will also be doing an ‘Initial Thoughts Review on the Stylefile Emergency Nail File‘ which will be up soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
Just want to end by saying a massive thank you to my sister-in-law for modelling the Stylefile for me; she really enjoyed trying it out. Good job she didn’t ask to keep it, don’t know how I would have said NO!
What do you think of Stylfile? Are you tempted to buy one?
