Today’s been one of those days where I really struggled to get motivated to do anything productive i.e. PGCE assignments and lesson planning so instead I took a trip to my local Boots store for a ‘browse.’
As I walked down aisle by aisle I was drawn to the gorgeous floral print on this brush roll and the rest is history. Yes you guessed it I bought it, I just couldn’t resist. I’m going to claim my ignorance here and say I’ve never heard of The Vintage Cosmetic Company before.
I did some googling and came across their website, they stock some really pretty 1950s inspired accessories as well as lashes, make up brushes and cute gift sets.
I’ve been looking for an inexpensive brush roll for a while and one that is going to house my Real Techniques brushes. Due to their large handles I’ve struggled to find a brush roll to accommodate them, but this one is perfect because it has 12 elasticated sections which come in various sizes to hold each brush securely. It also comes with a zip section which can be used for other make-up products; I’ll probably use the section for eyeliners.
For me a brush is roll is the perfect accessory to keep make up brushes neat and tidy whether they are going to be kept at home or accompanying you on your jollies. The roll folds up easily and securely fastened with a popper to stop the brushes falling out.
It is also made of an easy-to-clean material which can be wiped clean with a damp cloth; make-up brushes can hold a lot of bacteria so it’s important to be able to sanitised the brush roll when it gets a bit grubby.
You can find The Vintage Cosmetic Company products on their website or in your local Boots store, providing they are a stockist.
