Benefit Cosmetics is renowned for its No.1 bestselling mascara famously known as the ‘They’re Real’ mascara which I absolutely love and have re-purchased multiple times. When I heard Benefit were releasing their new mascara I was pretty excited, I’m definitely a big fan of their products, super cute packaging and of course their fabulous product names.
Benefit does an incredible job at marketing their products and as with most of their products the names are so catchy and fun that you can’t help but want to know more. When I heard March’s edition of Elle Magazine was going to include a cute mini version of the product I was on the hunt but I struggled to pick a copy up until last Saturday.
The ‘Roller Lash’ Mascara* has been designed with an innovative plastic brush to with custom-designed hooks that help to catch each individual lash for ultimate lift and curl action. The tag line Hook ‘n’ Roll has been intentionally used as the mascara is intended to work in the same way as hair rollers, curling and lifting helping to provide that oomph!
The packaging of this product speaks for itself, it’s adorable but I wouldn’t expect anything less from Benefit. A mascara that gives my lashes curl, length and lift is fabulous and what’s even better is I don’t even need to use my eyelash curlers. I’ve been using this mascara for just less than a week and I am totally wowed by it, my eyes look so much more awake and my lashes have certainly got some attention.
The best way to apply this product is by gently wiggling the wand from the base of your lashes moving towards the tip the wand will certainly catch every lash effortlessly. The longest I’ve worn this product is for approximately 7 hours, the mascara doesn’t fade in colour and my lashes look the way they did when I first applied the mascara. It is water-resistant which is perfect for my oily lids; I didn’t experience any smudging or transfer. To remove the product I used my trusty Body Shop Chamomile Silky Cleansing Oil which instantly dissolves the mascara without the need to scrub.
I can’t believing I’m saying this but this is quite possibly the best mascara I have used and I may just have to relegate my ‘They’re Real’ mascara for the ‘Roller Lash.’ If you want to give this mascara a go I’d highly recommend you picking up a copy of Elle Magazine (£4) or you can go all out and purchase the full size product for £19.50 from any Benefit Cosmetics counter, this mascara is definitely a ‘curls best friend.’
