I recently ran out of my current concealer and as much as I love it I thought it was time I delved into another brand and tried something new. I hear pretty much every blogger and YouTuber rave about Mac products especially their Pro Longwear Concealer so it was time to put the hype to the test.
The Pro Longwear Concealer (£17.50) is a fluid concealer which is known to be longwearing (up to 15 hours) and provide a medium to full coverage and most importantly (for me) it’s matte! I was matched up to NC42 which is a warm yellow toned shade. This particular product comes in 16 shades, 8 warm-toned which start with NC and 8 cool-toned which start with NW so there’s something for everyone.
The 9ml glass bottle comes with a pump dispenser and it’s important to state that half a pump is plenty, if you dispense a full pump you’ll have way too much product and will end up wasting it. It’s an incredibly pigmented product and a little definitely goes a long way. I prefer to pump the product straight onto the back of my hand and use a concealer brush (Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush) to blend the product in this gives me a flawless finish.
The longevity of this product is incredible it doesn’t budge or crease which is great for someone who applies their make at 2am and needs it to last way into the afternoon. Most importantly it covers my super dark circles, to be honest this concealer will cover anything you need it to (redness, pigmentation, blemishes etc). It is also water-resistant and transfer-resistant which makes it the perfect companion to take on holiday or if you live in a warmer climate.
I can’t recommend this product enough and now I can truly appreciate the hype behind it. It may be on the pricey side but for the amount of product you need this 9ml bottle is going to last a while even if you were to use it on a daily basis. To find a product that does it all and is great for excessively oily skin really is a gem.
