Yes you’ve guessed it I’ve jumped on the Makeup Revolution bandwagon! Those of you who are bloggers yourself or readers of blogs will have seen your Instagram, Twitter and Bloglovin’ feeds filled with their products/reviews. I don’t have an adequate reason as to why it’s taken me so long to make a purchase I guess it may have something to do with the fact that my local Superdrug store doesn’t seem to hold a wide range of products and I didn’t want to buy online as I prefer to swatch make up products before making a commitment to buy.
Anyway enough rambling, all you lovelies need to know is the deed is now done and my very first purchase is the Sugar & Spice Blush Palette (*big cheer for me). Firstly can we just take a minute to appreciate all the gorgeous pink shades, it’s almost too pretty to use! The blushers are housed in a sturdy sleek black plastic case which makes it perfect for travelling with.
Once opened the palette has a large mirror (always a bonus) along with eight powder product with satin to matte finishes. Within these eight products are also a baked blusher and a baked highlighter which I prefer to use as eye shadow rather than for their purpose, am I strange? The two shades on the top left of the palette contain more of a bronzed tone with slight pinkyness so I would probably use these to bronze up during the warmer months rather than use them for contouring.
Each shade is soft, light and highly pigmented so a light hand and a little product swirled onto the cheeks will create an amazing finish. It’s always better to build up blusher rather than take too much onto the brush and then struggle to blend out. With these shades a little product will definitely go a long way. My go to shades for this week have been the pink shade on the top row and the one on the bottom left I just love them.
This stunning palette is a mere £6 yes you’ve read that absolutely right, how incredible is their price point? I without a doubt believe that drugstore brands such as Makeup Revolution are doing an amazing job in producing budget products which work just as well if not better than the luxury brands. Even though this is my first purchase from Makeup Revolution I think I’m hooked, I must be if I haven’t been able to put this palette down since buying it. I would highly recommend you lovelies checking out this brand either at your local Superdrug store or online I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
