It’s been a whole year of blogging and I can’t quite believe it. I still remember the day I finally sat down and took the plunge to enter the world of beautiful things and become a ‘blogger.’
It’s also been a surreal experience to know I actually have my very own space on the internet. It’s been an amazing journey so far and I’ve loved every minute of it. Being able to sit at my laptop and write/ramble on about the things I’ve loved or loathed is just the essence of being a blogger.
The best part of blogging is becoming part of a beautiful community, along the way I’ve met some fabulous and down to earth bloggers either at events or through social networking. This is going to sound really cheesy but I feel as though I’ve grown as a person and become a lot more confident in being able to express myself and my feelings to people I’ve never met before. I can see how my writing style has developed from my very first post to the most recent and my photography skills have also improved a little too.
Blogging has also been a point of escapism from my busy lifestyle and all the downs I’ve had to go through over the year, hence the quiet blogging periods I’ve had. I’m quite a private person and don’t tend to share a lot about my personal life on the internet but what I do know is the bloggingsphere is the place where I instantly feel happier and can forget about the world and focus on what makes me happy.
When I started blogging I didn’t think anyone was actually going to sit and read my posts let alone follow me on my social networks and actually take the time to leave comments, it means so much to me. From the beginning I promised myself that whoever comments on a post, tweets me or comments on my instagram I would always reply and I’ve lived up to that promise because I know there’s nothing worse than not getting a reply and almost feeling like you’re being ignored.
I think what I’m trying to say is a mahoosive thank you to all of you for accepting me for who I am and appreciating the posts I write. I should also thank my family especially my husband for the continued support and technical advice/help but more importantly believing and supporting me through the journey.
I hope 2015 will be equally amazing; I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds for GlitZeeGlam.
Happy 1st Birthday GlitZeeGlam
