North West Blogger Meet Up – Liverpool

North West Bloggers - Logo [640x480]

The much anticipated excitement for my first ever blogger meet up is sadly all over!

I was lucky enough to attend my first ever blogger meet up on Sunday 2nd March at the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool which is inspired by Beatles memorabilia. It is by far one of the most unique looking hotels I’ve ever been to.

I arranged to meet up with the lovely Carrieanne Drew at Liverpool Lime Street Station before we ventured into Liverpool One for a spot of cheeky shopping before the event. If it wasn’t for Carrieanne I would have probably been lost as soon as I stepped foot outside of the station!

The entire event was organised by the beautiful Hannah Rosalie which I’m sure you’ve all heard of. Hannah did an amazing job and clearly spent a lot of time and effort in making the event so successful. There were a handful of brands at the meet up too who were demonstrating their products and a huge table of fabulous raffle goodies.

I didn’t know what to expect from an event like this so as you can imagine I was very overwhelmed when I walked into a room full of other bloggers some of whose blogs I have been reading and following forever. I felt a bit star struck especially when I met Frances Cassandra who is absolutely stunning (as expected) and so lovely.

The purpose of this meet up was to network with fellow bloggers and to have an old good chinwag about beauty, fashion, lifestyle and of course blogging life in general. It was also a chance for us to try out new brands and purchase some great products from companies that were there on the day. I finally purchased the Lip Scrub from Lush which I’m already addicted to!

I’m one of those people who never wins anything ever so I was shocked when my raffle tickets got called out. I won the Clarisonic, I still haven’t gotten over winning this beauty! It has been on my wish list ever since I came across it but I never took the plunge in buying it. I also won the Babyliss Thermo-Ceramic Rollers which I’ve read a lot of reviews on so I’m super excited to try my prizes.

The event ended with Hannah giving us all a huge goody bag filled to the brim of products, I’m still going through everything and ooohing and aaahing when I pull stuff out.  I will do an in depth review of the products and my winnings in future posts, so stay tuned!

I had a fabulous time and it was great to meet so many lovely bloggers, It’s just a shame I didn’t get a chance to speak to everyone who attended, but there’s always next time!

Did you attend the @NWBloggers meet up?

It was SO nice to meet you. I love your blog. You can tell it’s really going to take off. I love reading your posts.

Sorry for ripping your Primark bag on the way to the station 😛
And all the way back on the train I was thinking about that weird cough noise I made. I was out of breath (terribly unfit!) and I coughed at the same time as taking a breath in so it sounded like I was being disgusting and clearing my throat really loudly, lol 🙁

Either way, I love your posts and you were so, so nice and your outfit looked amazing!!
I don’t think I’ll see you at FABB but I hope to see you at another meetup or sometime else. 🙂

    xx

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, blogger events are usually advertised via Twitter if you follow @nwbloggers and @FABBEvents they host quite a few events. If something comes up in the North West I will let you know.

Blogging events are a great way to network and build contacts with fellow bloggers. Good luck with your blog! x x
