I attended an exclusive blogger event last Sunday at The Body Shop store in Preston (Lancashire). The event was a one year celebration of the store becoming a pulse store hence why the event was called #TBSPulseBirthday!
The lovely Rachelle who works for The Body Shop did an amazing job in organising the event and allowing us to take over the store with our cameras and sample pots, I’m sure the customers were thinking ‘what on earth is going on.’
The store was spacious, bright and welcoming which makes a change from previous stores I’ve been in; it definitely had a homely feel to it. The products are all displayed beautifully and in clear sections which makes browsing/shopping so much more enjoyable.
We were given free rein to go around the store and bag as many sample pots as we wanted, I think I was so overwhelmed that I only walked away with four sample pots which I’m majorly regretting now! We were also offered a whopping 40% off all products in the store at this point I would have loved to splash out and break the bank balance but I had to hold back considering I’ve just invested in a new camera (sad face).
The Body Shop has recently launched a few new products which we were able to try at the event the first is a new Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream which perfects your complexion and fight the look of blemishes and the second is a skin perfector called Instablur which blurs imperfections, giving you flawless photo-perfect skin in an instant.
On first impression both products felt great on the skin but unfortunately the colour range in the BB cream are limited to three shades and I don’t seem to match any of them unless I mix two colours together. I’ve taken a sample pot of the Instablur so once I’ve used it up I will let you all know my thoughts.
We spent an hour and a half testing, sniffing and filling products before we moved onto a social gathering at the Mystery Tea Rooms where we all had a good old chinwag and a catch up it was a chance to brush shoulders with new bloggers and have a good old gossip with bloggers we’ve met at previous events.
The tea room is beautiful and cosy, the selection of teas is phenomenal so again I got super overwhelmed and ended up ordering an Apple and Mango juice and a Panini. Talk about being adventurous zee!
A huge thank you to Rachelle and the other two lovely ladies at the Preston store for being so welcoming and helpful. It was great to finally attend an event so close to home and mingle with new bloggers as well as reunite with those who I’ve met at previous events.
