I don’t know about you but I love reading ‘What I Got For…’ blog posts probably because I’m a nosey bugger aside from that I find it is a great way to discover new brands and products. They are also a tad dangerous because I always end up wanting at least a few bits from each post I read.
I never know whether I should be including a *disclaimer* in posts like this or not, but think those of you who are familiar with my blog will know that this post isn’t about me bragging it is merely sharing the lovely gifts I received from some very generous people.
I made a birthday wishlist a week before my birthday as a little bit of fun and really wasn’t expecting anything from it purely because the items were quite expensive. But much to my surprise my husband actually bought me the Liz Earle Oily/Combination Skincare Set, I’ve wanted to try this in forever as I’ve heard so many people rave about it and because it was about time I switched up my skincare routine and introduced some new products into my daily regime.
He also bought me some very practical gifts which I’ve wanted/needed for a while the first being a shower cap and the second some iPhone headphones and not forgetting the Love to Shop vouchers for a very generous amount. It shows that me rambling on at him about random bits I need pays off, often I think he’s not listening to me but it clearly shows how wrong I am.
My brother surprised me with the GHD Air Professional Hair Drying Kit I was pretty gobsmacked when I received this. Again this is another gadget I’ve heard a lot about, I’m one of those people who sadly relies on a hairdryer and rarely let’s my hair dry naturally I’ve heard this is twice as fast with drying and less damaging for the hair. I’ll let you guys know how I get on with it.
My parents have been very generous and given me some money towards a Michael Kors bag which I’ve had my eye on for a while. I haven’t managed to buy it yet but once I do I’m sure I’ll post a picture of it on Instagram.
My lovely friends got me an amazing candle holder which is beautiful and the Soap and Glory Super Cat Eyeliner Pen; it’s actually scary how well they know me.
As much as it’s amazing to receive such generous gifts and being spoilt the best part of my birthday was spending quality time with my family, for me those are priceless gifts. However, I’m forever grateful for all the gifts I did receive and I’m sure I’ll have great fun in making good use of them.
If you’ve written any ‘What I Got For…’ posts please leave the link below I’d love to have a nosey.
