It’s that time again where I have been collecting my product empties (much to my husband’s annoyance) to share with you lovelies.
Clearly I’ve managed to collect a fair few items over the last few months; these posts always make me question just how many products I use on a daily basis it’s pretty shocking, but I can’t help loving beauty products (#notsorry). Anyway instead of rambling on I better get started, I suggest you grap a cuppa, put your feet up and read on..
Dove Silky Nourishing Body Cream – I have used this body cream for as long as I can remember, it’s fair to say I am a little biased towards Dove products purely because they are great value for money and feel super luxurious on the skin. The cream comes in a whopping 300ml for £2.99 and does exactly what it says on the tub. Although the consistency of the cream is quite thick once applied the skin soaks it all up without leaving the wet cream feeling and you only need a small amount. Your skin will definitely thank you for using this affordable yet nourishing cream.
Would I repurchase? – Obviously the answer is yes and I think I will keep repurchasing this moisturiser. It would be great however if it came in a more travel friendly packaging.
Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash – It’s no secret that I’m slightly obsessed with the Soap and Glory products so when they took out the Sugar Crush range it was a no brainer to give it a go. This body wash is very different to the signature Soap and Glory scent it’s a lot sweeter and citrus based which gives a super refreshing and energising feel, this scent may be a little too sweet for my liking although when I first started using it I did love it. For a mahoosive 500ml you’ll be parting with £6.50 but this will definitely last you a good few months. The packaging as always is on point and the pump dispenser means no mess and no wastage, one pump is plenty as this bad boy definitely lathers up a hell of a lot! The formula is rich and creamy and lathers up really well, this body wash will leave your skin feeling silky smooth as well as smelling amazing!
Would I repurchase? – At present I would have to say no purely because the scent is a bit too overpowering for me and I’m not a fan of sweet smelling products.
Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub – This is another product from the Sugar Crush range, the scent of this body scrub is a lot stronger hence I wasn’t drawn to it. The body scrub contains brown sugar, macadamia grains and sea salt which all work great to exfoliate especially dryer patches. The scrub is nourishing and leaves the skin feeling silky smooth after use. The best method of application is to take small amounts onto the hands and use circular movements to massage it into the skin, then simply rinse away to remove all granules. It took me a while to get through this large tub probably because I only used it a couple of times a week. It is a great exfoliator but again due to the scent being super sweet it’s not really for my liking.
Would I repurchase? – Think the answer would be the same as above; I love the consistency of the product but not the smell unfortunately.
TRESemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray – This is a must have in my hair care routine, I wouldn’t need to use it if I could get rid of all my heated appliances but I’m just not strong enough! So for that reason this heat defence styling spray is what I’ve been turning to for the last few years. It provides protection for up to 230 °C which is a lot more than most heat protecting sprays on the market. I tend to use it on wet hair before blow-drying however it can be used on dry hair too. The liquid disperses through the hair without leaving any sticky residue. The product has a slight scent which reminds me of going to the hairdressers, it makes your hair smell fresh and the scent lingers which is always a bonus. You can pick this product for as little at £3.99 and it will last you a good three to four months.
Would I repurchase? – A definite yes, this is a product I will continue to repurchase it does exactly what is says on the bottle and for the price I can’t find any qualms!
Johnson’s Baby Shampoo – This is my go to product for cleaning my make up brushes along with a little olive oil to break up all the product build up. This shampoo is gentle enough to keep your brushes in great conditioning after washing as well as cleaning them out looking good as new. It’s also a cheaper alternative to the high end brush cleansing products, I usually pick up a 200ml bottle for £1. I take a little in my hand and swirl the brush into it before rinsing it under lukewarm water and then laying it on the edge of a counter to dry.
Would I repurchase? – Most definitely, it does the job and is affordable so for me this is a real winner.
Zara Woman Floral EDT – I’ve already done a full review of this perfume so if you fancy taking a read just click on the link. What I will say is that the value for money you get with Zara EDT is phenomenal; I am certainly not stingy when it comes to using perfumes, I always use a generous amount, and even still this perfume has lasted me a good seven months which is insane when it only costs £9.99.
Would I repurchase? – Most definitely, I tend to switch between the Floral Scent, Los Angeles and Apple Juice just to mix things up a bit. This is a bold statement to make but I don’t think I’d ever buy myself a high end perfume again.
Q: Awe – I received this product at a blogger event and when I ran out my usual body spray I decided to give this a go. I have done a full review on it but just to give you a quick review it is a body spray which has a more sophisticated scent and a great staying power. It retails for £2.29 for 100ml and comes in three different scents; Awe is the only one I’ve tried.
Would I repurchase? – If I couldn’t get hold of my usual body spray I would repurchase this one, it is quite pleasant and I enjoyed using it.
Soap and Glory Girlingo Spray-On Body Moisturising Mist – As if it wasn’t enough to smell super gorgeous with the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Wash I also used up the Girlingo Spray-On Body Moisturising Mist. I tend to use this product once I’ve applied my moisturiser; I just spritz it over my body and then massage it into the skin. I don’t think this product would replace my moisturiser but using them both together gives me the perfect combination. The consistency is very thin almost like sun tan lotion (spray form) and massages into the skin quickly without leaving any stickiness of residue. I received this 100ml bottle in a gift set but I know you can purchase it in a 250ml bottle for £6.50 again a little pricey but it is a Soap and Glory product after all.
Would I repurchase? – No only because I’m not a fan of the milky consistency, however I have repurchased a Body Mist but it’s the Mist You Madly one which I think I prefer.
Lynx Attract for Her Body Spray – For those of you who didn’t know yes Lynx do a deodorant for woman, this is the only one they do at present and I’m not sure if they will release anymore scents. I’ve used this deodorant for the last two years and I don’t think I will stop anytime soon. There has been the odd occasion where I have ran out and grabbed something else in my hoard of toiletries but I always go back to Lynx Attract. They have recently revamped the packaging which in my opinion looks so much better and sleeker, as expected it comes in a twisty top which means no more losing lids. The scent is described as ‘fruity, floral and woody’ I’m rubbish at describing scents so I’m hoping the official description will be enough for you to gauge what it smells like, if it’s not then next time you’re buying your deodorant have a sniff of this one and see if it takes your fancy. This deodorant will keep you dry as well as smelling luscious all day; the 150ml can be picked up for as little as £1.99.
Would I repurchase? – Yes definitely this is my go to deodorant and I’ll continue to repurchase it.
So there you have it, my product empties! I didn’t realise this post was going to be this long (whoops) I do enjoy reading empties post they’re a great way of getting to know what people love to use.
