I think the worse thing about the colder months has to be the impact it has on the skin. I’ve always been that person who moisturises their entire body everyday, I hate having dry patches! I’ve been using the Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Hydrating Lotion (£5.00) for well over 3 years but I’ve never fully reviewed it on here, no time like the present.
I’ve been through my fair share of body moisturises some of them I loved and others I loathed. I was at a point where I needed to switch up my skincare and whilst browsing the supermarket aisle this one caught my eye, purely because it was half price and I’d heard of the brand prior to purchase. It was no harm in giving it a go and since then I’ve never looked back.
The packaging is somewhat basic and nothing fancy, the 400ml definitely makes you feel like you’ve got a good deal especially when they’re on promotion. The bottle has a neat curve which allows ease of holding and pouring. The lotion itself has a great consistency it’s not too thick or too runny. The best thing for me is how quickly it absorbs into the skin, I hate that greasy/sticky feeling after you’ve moisturised especially when you put on a pair of jeans after. It doesn’t have a heavy scent but smells fresh and very much like Aloe Vera.
This lotion definitely does what it says on the tin, its incredibly hydrating especially in areas where your skin is prone to being drier i.e. the creases. Aloe Vera is known for its highly hydrating properties and this lotion is packed with vitamins and minerals to help with added hydration. The lotion comes in a variety of scents (Aloe Vera, Mango, Shea Butter) depending on your skin type.
Overall as you can probably guess with the length of time I’ve been using this product, I absolutely love it! I most definitely stock up when they go half price (usually in Asda), if you’re looking for an affordable body lotion to help with hydrating your skin throughput the day this is well worth a try.
