The Skin Repair Light Moisturiser™ is the final stage of my new found Liz Earle skincare regime. As you may well know from reading previous posts I have extremely oily skin and it often becomes a battle to cope with it on a daily basis. I did enjoy my previous moisturiser and repurchased it several times but felt that my skin needed a change.
The packaging is identical to the Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser in terms of aesthetics and the way the product is dispensed. I think a pump dispenser is far more hygienic than having to dip your fingers in a pot of moisturiser, it also allows just the right amount of product to be released which prevents wastage.
This moisturiser is extremely light in terms of its consistency and absorbs instantly into the skin which I love, from past experience I have found that thick moisturisers to clog up my pores and increase oiliness. The moisturiser has a slight fragrance which unfortunately I don’t like and I’m struggling to get used to, I can’t quite put my finger on the particular ingredient that makes it smell the way it does maybe it’s the Borage Oil.
As with all Liz Earle products this moisturiser is packed full of natural ingredients such as Avacado Oil, Beta-Carotene and Natural Vitamin E. I massage one pump of the product into my face and neck both morning and night after using the Instant Boost™ Skin Tonic, it instantly gives my skin the perfect amount of moisture and leaves it feeling smooth with a healthy glow.
If you suffer from combination/oily skin or have problem skin I would recommend you giving this moisturiser a go, despite the smell of the product I have fallen in love with it which means I’m going to have to put up with the scent. This is very much a high end product retailing at £20.25 for 50ml and possibly the most expensive moisturiser I have ever used but I can honestly say it is worth every penny!
