If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that Leila is now 5 months old and I still can’t quite believe how fast she’s growing. I know the recommended weaning age in the UK is 6 months but I feel she is showing the signs that she’s ready to start the weaning journey. I’m all about making my life easier, I think when you become a parent the easiest option (or the lazy option) is always the way forward. Favourite Sensory Toys

If you’re a parent you’ll probably know just how important Sensory Play is for a child’s development. Naturally from birth children have learnt about the world by touching, tasting, smelling, seeing and hearing. Sensory Play contributes in crucial way to brain development, I like to think of it as ‘brain food’ as it stimulates the senses and sends signals to the brain in order to help strengthen neural pathways which in essence are important for all types of learning.
