Wish List #2 | Make-Up Storage

GlitZeeGlam | Make-Up Storage Wishlist

I better start with a confession, I am quite a perfectionist and my friends and family would quite openly tell you that I have major OCD traits and I need things to be in strict order. My current dressing table doubles up as my chest of draws and it isn’t ideal as it doesn’t have a lot of room for my makeup hoard. I don’t like to keep a lot out on display as it begins to look cluttered and attracts dust but recently I’ve had to because my overspill is beginning to get a little out of control.

Living in an apartment means that space can sometimes be an issue, so I’ve found a few little bits and bobs that may solve my lack of storage. The first item is the famous IKEA Malm Dressing Table, I think this is by far the most common item in many beauty bloggers homes purely because it’s affordable and fulfils its purpose of housing majority of the makeup stash. I love bright white furniture (just like most) and if I could have a complete revamp of my furniture I would. I think this would solve a lot of my storage issues, the large draw would be perfect to store the products I don’t use as much. The large flat top would allow me to add some additional storage i.e. small boxes and my Muji acrylic draws. This table would also be perfect to double up as my desk area.

Next up I have a few really cute items which I spotted in Dunelm, I love that place and recently a store has opened up pretty close to me (dangerous I know) so I’ve gone in on several occasions and done a lot of ‘browsing.’ I spotted these ‘Makeup’ and ‘Lotions and Potions’ wooden boxes and I fell in love, these would not only bring in a touch of colour to my dressing table but would help to keep my every day makeup organised and accessible. The matching ‘Trinket Pot‘ would be ideal to house my kirby grips and jewellery or even my cotton pads.

The last item on my wish list is a ‘Letter Rack’ which I would use to hold my most used makeup palettes, I always struggle to house these as the Muji draws aren’t always ideal for them due to the lengths and sizes. I think all the items I’ve mentioned are minimal but would really help to solve the storage issues I’m currently having.

I also have the malm table but I’m already having an overspill issue and strapped for space to add a drawer unit so for now I am sticking with a cluttered vanity top :-(…did a similar post on my blog (have a sneeky peek haha) but when you do get this table I know you wont regret it!!!

Thank you for your comment Jo, I’ve wanted this Malm Dresser for ages and every time I go to IKEA I want it even more. Hopefully it will be mine soon and it will help to eliminate the overspill in various nooks and crannies x x

I’ve never been that taken by the Malm drawer, it’s a bit too white for me. Anything that pristine freaks me out a little, haha.
I love Muji for makeup storage. I have the 5 drawer and wrote a post on it a few weeks ago.

Haha I’m the complete opposite, I love white furniture for the very reason that it looks so pristine and almost clinical. I do love Muji acrylic storage and already have one five draw and two sets of the wide two draws. I’ll definitely have a read of your post, thank you for your comment x x
